Competition - Win a copy of the "Complete Guide to Snowdon"
To celebrate the release of their new book - "The Complete Guide to Snowdon". We have teamed up with Seren Books to give you the chance to win a copy of the new book.
Much has been written about Snowdonia, or Eryri ‘the abode of the eagles’ or ‘the high land’, but Robert Jones’ book is one of very few devoted to Snowdon itself. In a series of lucid chapters Jones explores the history of the mountain from its geological origins to the present. Although it is now best known as a National Park and a destination for climbers, walkers and admirers of dramatic scenery the mountain still supports a number of farms, and agriculture and the environment are among Jones’ subjects.
Beautifully illustrated by the author’s own photographs, packed with information, this is a book which should be in the rucksack of everyone venturing onto Snowdon.
To have a chance of winning, simply answer the following question correctly.
In what year did the first train run up Snowdon?
When you think you have the answer, email it to us with your full name and daytime telephone number to comp@serenventures.com.
The closing date for entries is midnight Friday, December 7th and winners will be announced on the website December 10th.
