Snowdon Horseshoe

Nantlle Ridge Snowdonia

Nantlle Ridge,SnowdoniaThis magnificent ridge in the mountains of Eifionydd provides a great mountain walking day. We start at Rhyd du, taking in the first summit of Y Garn, not to be confused with the Y Garn in the Glyderau further north. A broad ridge, followed by a narrow rocky section leads us to Mynnydd Drws Y Coed. Continuing from here, some more scrambling brings us onto Trum Y Ddysgl (The ridge of the Dish).

The obelisk of Mynnydd Tal Y Mignedd lies next. From here a grassy ridge descends to Bwlch Dros Bern before climbing to the summit of Craig Cwm Silyn. A broad ridge brings us to our final summit of Garnedd Goch (The red rock).

The Nantlle ridge lies behind us and some good pub stories ahead of us!
