Imagine sitting on the summit of Scafell Pike looking out over the stunning views and smiling to yourself as you know you have just ‘bagged’ England’s highest mountain.

At 3,209 feet high, Scafell Pike in the heart of the Lake District is a tough walk but distinctly do-able as long as the mountain is respected. With superb views over the other Lake District peaks and the vast wilderness of Wastwater, the mountain really packs a punch when it comes to outstanding natural beauty which is why it is rightly on many people’s summit tick lists.

Our Mountain Leaders or Mountain Instructors will guide you from either Langdale, Seathwaite or Wasdale head. They will take the pressure off you navigating so you can enjoy the experience in safe hands

Course Description

About Scafell Pike

The summit of Scafell Pike, at 3,209 feet (978 metres), lies in the lake district national park in Cumbria, Northwest England.

There are a variety of approaches to the summit of Scafell Pike and we’ll be looking at heading up from the picturesque village of Seathwaite in Borrowdale.

You’ll head up Styhead Gill leading up to Styhead Tarn before pushing onto the summit itself, surrounded by some of the great crags of the Lakes.

Walking Scafell Pike

A Scafell Pike day takes between six and eight hours, including breaks and we move at a comfortable pace for the group. You’ll leave with a sense of achievement, a good workout and some great memories and maybe some tired legs!
